The Vamps to star in new Tomodachi Life advertising campaign (Europe)

Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

Nintendo UK signs up The Vamps for new marketing campaign promoting Tomodachi Life the latest game on Nintendo 3DS & 2DS

22nd AUGUST 2014 – Top indie pop band The Vamps are set to star in an upcoming advertising campaign for Nintendo UK to promote Tomodachi Life, available now on Nintendo 3DS & 2DS. The adverts will see the band enter the crazy world of Tomodachi Life and fans will be also able to get up close and personal with the boys via official QR Codes which will allow them to import Mii cha racters of the band into their game for free.

Tomodachi Life allows you to create a crazy and fun-packed world, populated with Mii characters based on absolutely anyone you know; such as your friends, family and now even The Vamps. Your Mii characters will live on their own island together, and you can customise their lives with a variety of cool clothes and décor for their flat, as well as enjoy a host of different food from around the world. Each of your Mii characters can speak, sing, and act with their own individual personality, so watch them form surprising friendships, fall in love, and funny situations unfold. Become the director of their lives as your Mii characters star in your very own soap opera – you’ll want to share every wacky moment as it happens – and at any time you can capture screenshots. These can be shared via the Nintendo 3DS Image Share tool to Facebook, Twitter or Tumblr with your real-life friends and family so they can see what’s happening on your island. The sky’s the limit in Tomodachi Life – Your friends. Your stories. Your life.

Posted on 5 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments

According to Nintendo, a demo for Tomodachi Life is due out tomorrow. This news only applies to North America for the time being, but it could hit Europe as well.

Tomorrow’s demo is similar to the Move In Version of Tomodachi Life. However, it has a play limit of 20 and the bonus Panda Suit is not accessible.

Here’s a Podcast – Episode 99!

Posted on 5 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Podcast | 7 Comments

ON THIS EPISODE: Still no Jack and Aysha’s out of town, which means it’s the first even Laura and Austin podcast! What we played? The duo square off about Tomodachi Life getting boring, Shovel Knight being wonderful, and Fallout: New Vegas actually having kind of good storytelling.

PLUS: A new mini-bookclub has been announced. The options? Minish Cap, A Link to the Past, Another World, Stick it to the Man, and Attack of the Friday Monsters! Make your case for which one we should all play and discuss in the comments.

AND: Listener mail about Suda51, “boring” games, and why nobody ever talks about bad game soundtracks in reviews rounds out the end of the show, as usual.

Here’s a Podcast: Episode 98! (Shovel Knight, Tomodachi Life, Mass Effect 3)

Posted on 5 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in Features, Podcast | 5 Comments

NOT ON THIS EPISODE: Jack and Laura! Jack has to take a break from the podcast for several weeks and Laura will likely be intermittent for a few weeks as well. The show… will be different…

ON THIS EPISODE: Special guest Aysha fills in to help save the podcast! Her and Austin talk about the Mass Effect 3‘s lost charm (but it’s still got romance) and Tomodachi Life‘s charm overload, and Austin bring his impressions of upcoming indie game Shovel Knight.

PLUS: Listener mail rounds out the end of the show! We’ve got topics from Nintendo’s E3 performance to whether we think walkthroughs ruin a game experience.

Below are all my QR Codes for Tomodachi Life along with some normal Mii Plaza ones! Please keep in mind that if you scan them to a game that is from a different region than North America, they will not come with their the outfit they are wearing or an interior. The Miis are organized by series which are organized in alphabetical order. I will update some of these Miis from time to time if I get them to look closer to how I want them to. If you use any, feel free to let me know! :)

But what about your Mii?
Due to repeated harassment on people trying to get/wanting my Mii’s QR code, I am not putting it up for download/scanning.

What about *insertnamehere*/another Mii that isn’t shown above?
Any Miis not shown above are either my own personal characters who I have no interest putting up (with a few exceptions like Cherri and Teddy Bear who I made up on the spot) or are friends’ Miis who I do not feel I have the right to put up without permission. This ALSO goes for any of the Mii’s children. That said, Trent said he didn’t mind his being put up so you can find it here and you can find Sosostris and her husband on her website. They will never be added, so please don’t ask. If I change my mind, I’ll put them up on my own accord.

Note: I received Tomodachi Life early from Nintendo. Thank you, Nintendo! :D If you are interested in Tomodachi Life, you may want to look into picking it up!
